STEM IMPACT Fellows Program

We are evolving our current Undergraduate Advocates student initiative into the "STEM Impact Fellows" program. This enhanced initiative will aid in student's success as STEM professionals through  practical business hands-on experiences, leadership identity development, and professional development training, and career guidance. Our goal is to build student confidence, leadership skills, business etiquette, professional networks, equipping them to thrive outside of an academic setting preparing them for the STEM workforce. Many students graduate with solid academic knowledge, ready to enter the STEM workforce, yet they often lack essential leadership skills and business etiquette due to the intense focus required by their studies during college. Our program intentionally addresses this gap by providing students with opportunities to explore their leadership styles, learn effective project management, enhance communication with team members, and develop decision-making skills.

As STEM Impact Fellows, students will collaborate closely with our executive operations team, engage in meaningful real-world projects, and contribute to the development of programs that support and uplift their peers in the HBCU STEM community.

We believe this program will serve as a vital introduction to the "real world," equipping students to tackle workplace challenges and engage in effective problem-solving.

This initiative will benefit students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Raleigh, NC, and Durham, NC, including North Carolina Central University, Shaw University, and St. Augustine’s University. As our organization and program grow, we aim to expand our reach across North Carolina and eventually extend our impact on a global scale.
